___________

I am an interdisciplinary ecologist interested in understanding how human behaviors collectively produce emergent outcomes for animal populations and landscapes. My work generally focuses on population ecology, conservation, and global change. I previously worked with monarch butterflies, urban pollinators, and pollinator gardening. In that work, I studied social contagion of urban gardening, a process through which environmentally friendly practices spread between neighbors, altering the configuration and ecological impacts of these habitats. In the Dayer Lab, I am working to build agent-based models to improve our understanding of how private landowners respond to sea level rise impacts in the mid-Atlantic, and to capture how these behaviors alter landscapes over time. For fun, I like reading, hiking, and playing with my cats.
