Emelia is an undergraduate researcher in the Dayer Human Dimensions Lab and is pursuing dual degrees in Multimedia Journalism and Professional and Technical Writing, with double minors in Natural Resources Recreation and Biodiversity Conservation. In spring 2024, she is working under Sami Livingston on survey analysis regarding dog-walker disturbance of shorebirds. She is currently searching for a conservation-oriented internship for the summer of 2024. In her free time, she runs the Silhouette student magazine, the lifestyles column of student newspaper The Collegiate Times, marketing and communications for The Marching Virginians and social media for the student chapter of the National Deer Association at VT.
